Especially as we age, glycine also becomes deficient in the body, making it difficult for glutathione synthesis to occur completely with NAC alone. This is why researchers bundle glycine, NAC, and the glutathione they produce together and call it Power of 3.

However, one thing I should clarify: there is no human clinical trial directly comparing NAC alone to Glinak. The synergistic effect is supported at the mechanism and animal study level, but direct evidence in humans remains a future task. .

"Isn't it definitely beneficial for young people to take it too??"

Glinak's core target is middle-aged to elderly populations whose glutathione synthesis capacity has declined with aging.

In a randomized controlled trial (RCT) lasting 16 weeks, when Glinak was administered to young adults aged 21-40, no significant changes in glutathione or oxidative stress were observed. This is because young people already have sufficient capacity to synthesize glutathione.

Therefore, for those in their 30s-40s and older, particularly those with accumulated chronic fatigue or metabolic disorders, or those with high-stress lifestyles such as smoking or excessive alcohol consumption that increase oxidative stress, Glinak could be a more meaningful choice.

No. Glinak is not glutathione itself. It supplies precursors, âthe raw materialsâto glutathione.

This distinction is important because if you eat glutathione directly by mouth, it breaks down in the digestive tract and less than 1% is actually utilized by the body. In contrast, Glinak simply provides the materials and allows cells to synthesize glutathione themselves. The biggest advantage is that cells can self-regulate the amount according to their needs.
